Sassy in Seattle | Seattle Boudoir Photography

Boudoir is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to shoot. It’s far more intimate and nervewracking than engagement shoots, family sessions, or even weddings. Being able to make my clients feel comfortable, sexy, and fun in front of the camera is a gift I treasure. The anticipation and nervousness from when I send off the previews to when I get an email or phone call back kills me.

Women are, by nature, I think, very self-conscious. We’re constantly comparing ourselves to one another and wishing some part of us was better, or thinner, or flatter. We wish time was kinder. And slower. Learning to love yourself – and to love what your partner loves the most about you – is the first step to being truly happy with what you’ve been given. So when a woman tells me how much she loves the photos – it’s a damn good feeling. :)

I love boudoir. I love making women feel sexy and drop-dead gorgeous – and I love learning the reasons why you’ve decided to partake in a session.

That said – this was my first boudoir session of a few in 2011. And this sassy woman rocked it. These sessions usually last 2-3 hours – and it’s always toward the end (after some champagne!) that we get the best material. :)
